Garrison McCaskey papers, 1907-1919.

Contains the following types of materials: organizational documents, books / manuals, diary / journal, maps / charts. Contains information pertaining to the following war and time period: Spanish-American War, Philippine Insurrection, Mexican Border Dispute. Contains information pertaining to the following military units and organizations: 1st Cavalry Brigade, 15th U.S. Infantry Regiment. General description of the collection: The Garrison McCaskey papers include McCaskey's diary, 1906-1907, while he was a captain of the 15th Infantry serving in the Philippines; a few miscellaneous papers relating to earlier years of the Philippine Insurrection; and plans, maps, and tables of march used in staff studies and service school exercises before and after World War I. Much of the collection consists of maps of various sites in the Philippines, the United States, and western Europe. A few maps plus a copy of the FIFTH ANNUAL REPORT OF THE MINING BUREAU OF THE PHILIPPINES (1904) were prepared by H.D. McCaskey and sent to Garrison McCaskey. Also included are documents on the Mexican Border dispute.
